Tbilisi is known for Georgian cultural and historical places, masterpieces of modern architecture, amazing exhibitions and entertainment spots. Here are my TOP 7 favorite places that I know that you would just love, when you are visiting Tbilisi.

1. Bridge of Peace | Info Tbilisi Travel

A Link Between the Old Town and the Modern One!

The Bridge of Peace Tbilisi is one of the city's amazing attractions you wouldn't want to miss.

Designed to resemble the shape of a marine animal, this 150m long artistic structure boasts a bow-shaped steel and glass canopy nestled with thousands of beautiful colored LED lights that are usually switched on just before sunset giving a spectacular illumination to the Mtkvari River and the buildings around it.

Experience the scenic view by walking on The Bridge of Peace Tbilisi!

The best way for me to experience the scenic view is to stroll walk along with it.

Also, don’t miss the opportunity of taking a boat on the river and enjoy the wonderful views. Amazing!

2. Flea Market Dry Bridge | Info Tbilisi Travel

Experience the Local Culture and History at the Largest Open-Air Market in Tbilisi!

You can find all kinds of things, work of art, jewelry, books and so much more at the Flea Market Dry Bridge.

The setup is such that vendors lay down their products on sheets of clothes spread out on the floor.

Most of the vendors are locals making this a great place to buy handmade artwork as well as get a taste of the local culture and history.

The flea market at the Dry Bridge is the largest open-air flea market in Tbilisi located around the bridge that connects Saarbrucken Square to the Dedaena Park on the other side of the River Mtkvari.

What I found most captivating here were the antiques and the art.

You will find so many different styles of paintings here ranging from the classics to the contemporary. Georgia has so many talented artists as you will notice on your tour to the Flea Market Dry Bridge Tbilisi.

I love this market especially in Summer and would advise you to visit it!

3. Open Air Ethnographic Museum Tbilisi | Info Tbilisi Travel

Travel to Georgia from just one place!

Open-Air Ethnographic Museum Tbilisi displays different houses and buildings representing Georgian regions.

Open-Air Ethnographic Museum Tbilisi is a wonderful open-air museum located in the city that displays numerous and different houses and farm buildings representing different Georgian regions and times.

Visiting this place is like taking a trip back in time. You will feel it.

This one is ideal for walking in nature whilst learning about history. You can stay as long as you wish and look at everything or just explore for a short time.

Another part of the tour that caught my special attention was the interesting Kakheti and Kartli underground houses and structured-yard western Georgian houses of Imereti, Samegrelo, and Guria.

Different open different open-air concerts, festivals, and flea markets take place in the Open Air Ethnographic Museum Tbilisi

These were something you will want to see and listen to their history.

If you happen to be here during this season, make sure you don't miss one of the festivities as it is a very beautiful and peaceful place to spend time with friends or family.

4. Chronicles of Georgia | Info Tbilisi Travel

Enjoy the Spectacular Monuments and Gorgeous Backgrounds! 

History Memorial Chronicles of Georgia Tbilisi is a Monument located near the Tbilisi Sea. This monument is at the top of a hill overlooking the city.

After you get to the hill, you head up the stairs towards the massive 16 pillars which are engraved with various images related to the history of Tbilisi and Georgia as a whole.

Once at the top you get a spectacular view of the city.

On the backside of the History Memorial Chronicles of Georgia, you will find a small Orthodox Church as well as a beautiful view across Tbilisi Lake.

Recommended visiting when it’s not too cold or too hot!

During the winter 6 seasons, it can be a bit of a challenge to get to the top so it is advisable to visit when it’s not too cold or too hot like in August.

That said, a trip here is worth it and especially for people who love photography.

5. Lisi Lake | Info Tbilisi Travel

Favorite Place for Locals and Excellent place to go biking, running, and jogging!

Lisi Lake is a small lake in Tbilisi, Georgia resulting from the Kura River valley.

The area around the lake however is a great place to go biking, running, jogging, or just to spend a good time unwinding.

Also, if you wish you could do a picnic near the lake area.

The area around the Lisi lake Tbilisi serves is home to a variety of different species of exotic birds and is a real paradise for birdwatchers. Awesome show!

The relaxing environment is evident near Tbilisi.

I mostly suggest visiting Lisi lake Tbilisi during summertime or on a nice weather day during Spring or Fall.

7. Aerial Tramway in Tbilisi | Info Tbilisi Travel

Enjoy a breathtaking 3600 view of Tbilisi!

Aerial Tramway in Tbilisi connects Rike park to the left and the Narikala fortress to the opposite side. This is the mountain cable car system in Tbilisi Georgia.

This is the mountain cable car system in Tbilisi Georgia. Aerial Tramway in Tbilisi connects Rike Park to the left bank side of the Mtkvari river and the Narikala Fortess to the opposite side.

The cable cars allow you to have a great 3600 view of Georgia’s capital as you rise to different levels and angles.

The aerial tram is worth experiencing as an activity when you visit Georgia.

The best and maybe most beautiful time to climb is in the evening when the city is lit because the lights give such a beautiful scene on the skyline.
