Here are my favourite TOP 5 places to go in Tbilisi.
Appreciate a spectacular view of the city.
History Memorial Chronicles of Georgia is a Monument located near the Tbilisi Sea. This monument is at the top of a hill overlooking the city.
After you get to the hill, you head up the stairs towards the massive 16 pillars which are engraved with various images related to the history of Tbilisi and Georgia as a whole.
On the backside of the History Memorial Chronicles of Georgia, you will find a small Orthodox Church as well as a beautiful view across the Tbilisi Lake.
During the winter season it can be a bit of a challenge to get to the top so it is advisable to visit when it’s not too cold or too hot like in August.
All said, a trip here is totally worth it and especially for people who love photography.

History of Georgia from ancient life to communism governance at The National Gallery Tbilisi
The gallery has all sorts of art collections from prehistory to stunning works in gold dating from over 2,000 years ago, in addition to a fascinating account of early gold mining in Georgia.
Here you will also find long, ancient and fascinating Georgian history demonstrated for instance a cart from 2,400 BCE, a powerful account of the nation’s suffering under communist rule and so much more.
Surprisingly, there is a great art collection of the Georgian primitivistic painter Niko Pirosmani (Pirosmanashvili 1862-1918).
In addition, the museum also focuses on other Georgian painters, as well who do modern art.
The National Gallery is not big and you could be done in about an hour or two depending on your interest in understanding the history.

This is the mountain cable car system in Tbilisi Georgia.
The cable cars allow you to have a great 3600 view of Georgia’s capital as you rise up to different levels and angles.
You get to see over the park area that you just left behind as well as the top of the Peace Bridge, the river below and the many churches and rooftops of the rustic buildings in Tbilisi that you pass.
The best and maybe most beautiful time to climb is in the evening when the city is lit because the lights give such a beautiful scene on the skyline.
The aerial tram is definitely worth experiencing as an activity when you visit Georgia.

You should not miss the relaxing Sulphur Baths.
The idea of sitting in a relaxing bath complete with a massage and a scrub at an affordable price is both exciting and enticing.
The sulphur baths are said to leave the body miraculously healed. The water is believed to contain curative properties especially for skin diseases, nervous system and insomnia problems.
In summary, this is one of the part of Tbilisi where you can take a trip back in time to experience the historical parts of Georgia.
It should definitely be on top of your list for places to visit.

Enjoy mature puppet performances in The Rezo Gabriadze Marionette Theater.
Rezo Gabriadze Marionette Theater is not your usual kind of Theater but even in its modest size it ranks among the world's preeminent cultural centres.
It is an impressive building featuring a variety of architectural styles creating a look that seems to have been taken right out of a fairy tale.
Located in the heart of Tbilisi in Georgia, this Theater presents mature puppet performances that are deep and full of meaning.
NOTE: Shows are not for children in the Rezo Gabriadze Marionette Theater.
If you happen to be in the area at 7 p.m. make sure you stop and watch the charming short show "Life Cycle", which presents the life of a pair of Lovers.
